Different Types of Makeup Products

Getting for ready for prom is the most fun and exciting experience, but it can be very stressful and hectic at the same time. Picking out the perfect prom dress is already very stressful, to put on top of that, your accessories, hair and makeup have complement each other as well! If you are tight on cash, don’t freight and don’t splurge to your makeup done a by professional, try it yourself! All you need is to purchase the products, if you don’t have any and it will be much more inexpensive. With a little practice here and there, you will get the perfect look for your perfect night.



For everyday use, foundation is not necessary, especially if you are a teenager. Usually foundation shouldn’t be used until you reach the age of 25. But this occasion is for prom and you want to look fabulous. When using foundation, remember to exfoliate your face first and then moisturize well. After you are done moisturizing, blend in your foundation very well with a sponge. The key parts are to start off are your forehead, nose, chin and then work on your cheeks. If you have a few blemishes or spots here and there, apply some concealer with your finger. Gently pat some powder on top of it and you’re set!



If you don’t know what to do with your makeup, don’t panic, try on different makeup styles your favorite celebrities use. What if your favorite celebrity’s makeup look doesn’t look good on you? Just take some time out of your schedule weeks before prom and try on different makeup styles on yourself. It will give you time to see what styles look good on your features and if your unsure, ask a friend! You can get many celebrity makeup tips from fashion magazines, cut out some styles and try them out! If you want to go for a smokey eye, make sure you tone down your blush. The smokey eye itself is already very dramatic, with a dramatic blush, you will look like a clown. For a sweet look, lip gloss is the key. And for a dark mysterious look, line your eyes with dark eyeliner.



The key rule is if you want attention on your eyes, keep your lip color toned down, and vice versa. Many of the times, people go for a dramatic lip and dramatic lip, which causes a disaster in the end. If you want to go for a dramatic eye, try to go for a smokey eye or play up the colors of your eye shadow. I suggest going all out on with eyeliner, mascara and especially eye shadow. To complete your dramatic eye, putting false eyelashes will look awesome. However, remember to keep your blush and lips toned down to a lighter color. If you opt for a lighter look for your eyes, don’t forget to play up your lip gloss or lip color.



If you want attention on your lips, choose a bright and dramatic color, such as red lipstick. If you have pale colored skin, red lipstick will just pop! Applying red lipstick can be a very difficult task, especially if you want to go for the perfect look. When applying on lipstick, take a fluffy brush and some loose powder and lightly powder on your lips. By using loose powder, it will set your lipstick and it will last longer. Line your lips with a red liner and the fill in the rest with your lips. If you are not a big fan of red, dark pinks are excellent and work well with many skin tones, and I suggest staying away from brown lip colors. Remember to keep your eyes and your blush neutral compared to your lips.



Not everyone is born with great makeup skills, but don’t worry with a little practice you definitely get the techniques! The key to makeup is not to over power all your features with dramatic looks. The best thing to do is to choose one feature, like your eyes and play up that feature and keep the rest of your face toned down and vice versa! With these simple tips and easy techniques, you will for sure be the belle of the ball and you have your own self to thank!
